Who we are

Here we present the pillars of our existence in Vila dos Remédios, know our history, our mission and the elements of our pastoral orientation.

Brief History of the Church

EVERYTHING STARTED on March 20, 2005, at a weekly meeting of the Ministry of Missions of the Regular Baptist Church in Vila Lageado, composed of a group of 12 (twelve) people, with studies to open a new congregation in the city of São Paulo

After studying to choose a location for the new Congregation, the Ministry of Missions selected four regions and brought the church to the meeting for final decision.

After presenting the selected regions, as well as the characteristics of each one, the church approved the Vila dos Remédios neighborhood, located between the city of São Paulo and the Municipality of Osasco, belonging to Greater São Paulo.

Then began the search for a temple or a house. Under the direction of God, a residential property was rented at Rua Antônio Ayrosa, 73. Due to the poor state of conservation of the property, a group of brothers was organized to carry out a new painting, to correct some irregularities in the electrical and hydraulic part and the placement of furniture and utensils.

Once this general renovation was necessary in the rented property, an inauguration service was scheduled for 04/29/06, with Pastor Lourival Garcia Jordão from the Baptist Church in Praia Grande being the guest speaker.

During the year 2006, the work was carried out by the Missions Group, as a relay in the evening services, and in the morning by Pastor Rubens Marcio de Moura, from the “mother” church.

As of 2007, the church commissioned brother Almir José Gomes de Lima for the leadership of the work that began to serve the congregation with his family in morning, night and prayer services on Thursdays, having some supports from some brothers of the Missions Group.

The Baptism

Baptism must be seen as a justice seal that comes by faith, and must evidently follow the faith, as determined by the final words of Jesus that are recorded in the gospel of Mark:

” He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all reation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned “(Mark 16:15, 16).

Baptism does not save anyone. Jesus said that whoever believes (and is baptized by believing) will be saved and whoever does not believe will be condemned; note that he did not say “whoever is not baptized will be condemned”, but “whoever does not believe”.

Our mission

We believe that the door of salvation is always open and also the doors of our church. Our mission is to be totally dedicated to Jesus, opening our arms to those who seek the real truth. We show God’s love and concern for our brother at every opportunity through messages that build and open our doors for you to hear the Word of God, we are following in the footsteps of Jesus Chris

God’s word

The authority of Holy Scripture, the reason why it must be believed and obeyed, does not depend on the testimony of any man or church, but depends only on God (the same truth) who is the author; it must therefore be received, because it is the Word of God.

All the counsel of God concerning all necessary things for His glory and for the salvation, faith, and life of man is either expressly stated in Scripture or can be logically and clearly deduced from it

Ref. II Tim. 3:16; I John 5: 9, I Thess. 2:13.

Pastoral Counseling

Every process of pastoral care is a continuous and prolonged action or accomplishment of some activity that ultimately seeks the well-being of the one in need of spiritual care. However, walking this path of helping the other requires a critical analysis of the factors that involve the life of the person in question. This can reveal the various origins of the problem and also direct you to the best paths in order to solve them.

The Christian counselor can empower his counselors so that they can walk alone on the roads of life.

When God created man, he gave him the ability to dominate and administer. This implies that the person is equipped with the means to manage his life and to transform what is necessary so that he has a better life. Pastoral care guided by this model implies giving vigor to this flame, to this energy that history and circumstances can sometimes weaken.
